ASHLAND HOME REPAIR
This program is made possible by the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). The grant is free and never has to be repaid. A grant is available per owner-occupied home to assist with specific home repairs or activities that eliminate conditions detrimental to the safety and health of the residents.
Typical services include but are not limited to:

Plumbing and heating repairs

Roof & Flooring
-
Porches and steps that present a safety risk

Door & Window repair or replacement
IMPORTANT: Service area for this program is limited to the town of Ashland, VA
In order to be considered for this grant:

The house must be a single-family, owner occupied dwelling located within the service area

The applicant must be the owner of the home, must live in the home (as a primary, permanent residence), and be able to provide proof of home ownership, active home insurance, and paid property taxes (or proof of exemption)

You must have Hazard Insurance (fire and extended coverage) on your house

Property Taxes on the home must be current

This grant is intended to provide one-time assistance to eligible homeowners

Homeowners must be at or below 65% of the area median income. The total household income based on the number of people living in the home, cannot exceed the following:
